Bloomball 1: New Labyrinth Player Reviews and Tips
Score-Boosting Tactics
Rolling a little yellow ball through a maze sounds simple until you actually try it, and Bloomball has a way of humbling you fast. The trick most players land on quickly is slowing down before corners instead of after, since momentum here isn't your friend once walls start closing in from odd angles. Switching camera views with the number keys actually matters too, because what looks like a dead end from one angle opens up completely from another. Keep an eye on your speed boost, save it for straightaways where you can see three or four turns ahead rather than blowing it the second you get it, and don't be afraid to backtrack a few steps if a path feels wrong. Mouse and swipe controls give you finer nudges than the keyboard, which helps a ton once the dunes and sand-shifting sections start messing with your sense of direction.
Difficulty ramps up gradually at first, then gets genuinely tricky once the game drags you through the Carstenz Pyramid and the Ring of Fire stretch, where the paths twist back on themselves and the margin for error gets thin. Story-wise it's light but charming: Bloomball rolls across mountains, dunes, and volcanic terrain gathering something called Hot Ice, basically the spark keeping its world alive, all while dodging encroaching darkness. Nothing overly complicated, just a cute excuse to keep pushing through the next maze layer.
